- Ecology and Society - Journal/organisation dedicated to studying resiliance
- English Nature - one regional branch of the old Nature Conservancy Council - a key conservation organisation.
- European Mammal Assessment - recent EUROPA site examining species loss.
- European Nature Conservation Organisations - huge listings of European organisations.
- Global Amphibian Assessment - checks the conservation status of amphibians worldwide

- International Coral Reef Initiative - recent global initiative

- Joint Nature Conservation Committee - key adviser to UK government.
- Millennium Seed Bank Project. An interesting project from Kew Gardens.

- Resilience Alliance - organisation arguing for resilience studies in ecosystem management.
- Royal Society for the Protection of Birds - one of the world's first conservation groups and today one of the UK's largest.
- SeagrassNet - global monitoring organisation examining these vital ecosystems.
- TRAFFIC - site monitoring trade in endangered species.
- UK Overseas Territories Conservation Forum - conservation in some of the smallest parts of UK influence.
- Wetlands International - dedicated to conservation. Has a RAMSAR database.
- Wildlife and Conservation Organisations - listings of UK local and national groups with a web presence.
- World Conservation Monitoring Centre - part of the UNEP it provides data and policy advice on global conservation issues.
